All motions passed.

In Other News…

Rick Bonita queried if we wanted to have the Christmas party at the Salisbury Mills Fire House. The club will make a decision at the April meeting.

DVRR Pancake Breakfast Daniele Raccio made a motion, seconded by Rick Bonita, to donate $100 to the DVRR Pancake Breakfast. Frank and Jocelyn attended the breakfast; the donation was greatly appreciated!

the best price. We have also purchased a used governor for the Bombi. The new

Yamaha Viking has arrived!

Frank also mentioned that the rescue sled needs some repairs.

Chris Mandeville noted that we need more people to groom the trails. Please

RAFFLE TICKETS

We’re starting to get down to the last of the tickets. Contact Rick or Jocelyn to get tickets!

We Have A New(ish) Groomer!!

Jim Turner brought a used Yamaha Viking Professional to the club’s attention. After some discussion and review of the sled online, Jim Turner made a motion, seconded by Rick Bonita to purchase this sled for grooming. The motion passed unanimously.

SHIRTS

Shirts are now available. This season’s color is dark blue. Be in touch with Daniele Raccio to purchase!

Odds & Ends

Chip Quinn is still trying to get a new sign for us.

Regarding the Orange County Farmer’s Museum, it was determined that the space was not big enough for a drag race. Jim Turner suggested doing a swap meet there. Frank and Jim will investigate further.

Frank pulled the Bombi apart. It needs a new governor.

Chip Quinn suggested asking club members for donations in exchange for map recognition/placement.

Sue Katzmire will look into whether we can sell tickets and shirts on our website. Update: We cannot sell raffle tickets through PayPal. The cost of having a business account with PayPal likely outweighs income we would generate from the website on the sale of shirts alone.

Trail Clean Up

Trail Clean-Up weekend is scheduled for November 7th and 8th.

Mark your calendars!

We Have A New Drag!!

Frank reported that a club member anonymously donated a new drag for the Skandic, identical to the one that we have. It’s being built right now. Jim Turner  made the point that the new drag should have a permanent gas rack welded on to the drag so groomers could be out longer without having to come back to refuel. Frank said he would look into having this done.

RAFFLE SLED

Raffle tickets are available, and are selling fast!

Rick Bonita reported at the September meeting that 191 raffle tickets have been sold so far. We have events scheduled in October, but we need club members to sell tickets to your friends, your co-workers and your fellow riders! Contact Rick or Jocelyn to get tickets!

Odds & Ends

Frank noted that we’re having trouble booking a consistent space for the meetings. Frank will investigate other options with the town

Frank also noted that the Bombi needs some repairs, and that it will likely cost about $1,000 to fix. Chris Mandeville and Frank to take it apart on 9/13 and asses what repairs are needed.

A used Skandic was brought to Frank’s attention and he raised the question of purchasing it. After some discussion, it was agreed to table this until the next meeting, when we have more information on the Bombi’s repairs.

Mike LaBagh raised that we need someone to handle the public relations for the club – getting information into MyRide, etc. Jocelyn will discuss further with Daniele Raccio.

Jocelyn mentioned that we were approached by representatives from the OC Farmers Museum about possible holding grass drags or snow drags there. Rick Bonita, Jim Turner and Frank will investigate what sort of space is needed, and if the drags can be held there.

Jocelyn will be in contact with the Campbell Hall Firehouse to book the room for the Christmas Party. Sue is booking the DJ and Santa Claus.
